Wow, watch who you lay your head down with at night. 30-year old Baytown -area woman, Cierra Alexis Sutton has been charged with the murder of her 32-year old boyfriend, Steven Coleman.
The murder took place on August 16th in an apartment complex. According to authorities, Sutton and Coleman had a heated argument hours prior to the murder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sutton, who admitted her ten-year old daughter was in the living room at the time, shot Coleman in the head while he was asleep. She then took a machete and dismembered his body. Sutton wrapped Coleman’s remains in sheets and duct tape, loading them into her jeep before disposing of them at various dumpsters. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On August 18, just two days after the murder, Sutton filed a missing person report claiming she had not seen Coleman since 10:30 pm the night of the argument. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although Coleman’s car was still parked in the apartment complex, Sutton acted as if she had no clue what happened. Coleman was believed to be moving out of the couple’s apartment as neighbors saw him move furniture days before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Authorities searched the nearly vacant apartment finding traces of blood in various parts of the home. On the 22nd of August, a male torso that matched Coleman’s description appeared in a landfill. Sutton was to talk to the police but skipped out when Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc. She was later found in New Orleans and arrested. DNA has not confirmed if the torso belonged to Coleman.”
